Dr. Aravinth S

Critical Care Physician and Clinical Research Mentor

Dr. Aravinth S is a dedicated critical care physician based in New Delhi, India, with clinical expertise in anaesthesiology, intensive care medicine and critical care ultrasound.

He completed his MD in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care at the Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER). He subsequently trained in Critical Care Medicine at Apollo Hospitals, Chennai, and further strengthened his specialist training by completing the Indian Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Aravinth has a strong interest in point-of-care ultrasound and its application in the assessment and management of critically ill patients. He has received focused training in critical care ultrasound and has completed a Fellowship in Critical Care Ultrasound.

Alongside his clinical work, he is actively interested in research methodology and evidence-based medicine. He completed the Methods in Epidemiologic, Clinical and Operations Research programme conducted by the American Thoracic Society and the Indian Chest Society.

Dr. Aravinth has also contributed to international collaborative research as a site co-investigator in the MEGA-ROX trial, an international multicentre randomised controlled trial conducted by the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Society.

Through his academic and research mentoring work, he supports postgraduate trainees and clinician-researchers in transforming relevant clinical questions into methodologically sound, practically feasible and publication-ready research projects.
